Howdy Folks!
As we encroach on our labour day weekend, I hope that everyone had a great Summer and is looking forward to having an amazing Fall (and probably getting back into the swing of things after a bit of summer light duty)! Temperatures have now started to come down and we see regular rain scheduled in the forecast. This means that we are getting into the start of our fall growing season as things start to green up again. It’s time to start with the Fall orders and applications.
There are four to five times (with necessary adjustments due to weather if applicable, and depending what program you are on) that we do the scheduled deliveries for the annual maintenance plans, whether that is a subscription or a one time purchase for the year. That is early spring (March), Summer (May & July) and early Fall (Sept). Now that we see rain more regularly in the forecast we can go ahead and start sprucing things up again for the fall!
If you have not heard, most cities have now gone back to stage 1 watering restrictions, so you can now water your lawns again. Be sure to check your scheduled watering days for your applicable city or zone.
We have had a lot of people over the last week ordering various products from the website, and booking services for their properties in anticipation of the fall. If you have any questions at all, feel free to let us know.
Important Note for DIY subscription holders: We have been experiencing issues with our subscriptions renewing over the last year. You may be getting notifications that your subscription payments have failed. Please take no action at this time. We have hired a company to go in to the website and fix things up because we seem to have some ongoing gremlins that we can no longer handle in house. They are working on it as we speak and we will update you as soon as everything is fixed on the back end. I do not want you to have to do any extra work on your part when the point of the subscription is to make things easy and automatic for you. I sincerely apologize for that. We are packing up all of the orders for delivery this week regardless of the website renewal issues to keep the deliveries on schedule. We will sort that out once it is fixed on the back end with no disruption to your service.
The Fall Care Pack deliveries have started as of Aug 31, 2026. It takes us a number of days to get them all packed, up which is currently in process, and deliveries will commence as soon as they are. We aim to have them all done by the end of the week, but will continue until completed if not. You will receive a notice of delivery the day prior and a confirmation of delivery once completed. For anyone that does not have a plan, you can order any time and we will deliver within three days, but generally next day unless your are notified otherwise.
If you would like to add a Fall Core Aeration or a Power Rake/Dethatch to your Fall Delivery (this is a full service item and will be performed by us) please email [email protected], or call 604-334-7911 and we will add that in for you! Please note, that if you do add a full service item to your delivery order we may schedule that to be done a bit later than the delivery only customers, as we need our lawn techs to do that service and will have them do the delivery at the same time as the service.
The fall full service product applications and services will commence as of Sept. 8, 2026 and continue until completed. You will receive a google calendar notification prior to the visit. If you will be out of town or the property cannot be serviced at that time, you can contact us to adjust the appointment and it will be adjusted to the best of our ability and the time slots available. Please note that everything is route mapped for efficiency, so exact time’s are not generally available, but the specific day is. If you do not see a notification as to your appointment date by Friday September 11, please contact us to ensure that we have not missed anything for you. We will be getting the weed control applications completed first this week and next week, before we hit more frequent rain so as not to affect it.
If you or any of your friends have not done a grub control application, and would like to, please contact us. If you wish we have a limited supply of a full service chemical grub control option called Acelepryn that can be done any time, but the sooner the better. It is extremely effective, but takes some time to work, so it should be done as soon as possible. Alternatively, we no longer have nematodes in stock in the store, but we can order them for you if you wish to go that route. Keep in mind there will be shipping costs from Ontario, since we have now depleted our pre-order group order that we do each year.
