What is going on this year in BC 2025

Spring 2025 Lawn Care Update and Reminder!

Howdy Folks!

This is our early year update, as well as being a reminder to order your seasonal lawn care solutions for 2025.

I hope that your new year is treating you well so far and that you were able to get a bit of a rest around the holidays!

This has been an exceptionally warm winter in the lower mainland BC. Here in Surrey , I have not even seen a drop of snow – yet anyway.

What I have noticed is that there is much more grub damage everywhere and I expect there will be a lot of moss. This is due to the fact that nothing has really frozen for long, if at all. This is perfect weather for moss to spread and the soil has stayed nice and soft allowing animals to dig away in times where they normally would not be able to. That being said, we have some new things coming in the near future to bolster things even further.

There have been quite a few people reaching out for various things already this year of course, especially on the nice sunny mild days. As usual we have been updating our pricing where required, and it looks like things wills stay pretty much the same for once! Lime has gone up a bit but everything else seems to be pretty stable, but I suppose that depends on what goes on in the USA over the coming months – if anything, although that likely will not affect our industry in regards to any tariffs and so forth.
The updated pricing has now completed and if you have been waiting for anything in particular, you will have your responses over the next few days. If you are one of these people, we thank you greatly for your patience.

Updates so far this year:

  • General Updates:
    1. For both full service and retail we will be updating the plans. Our tried and true existing plans will still be the same of course, but we will be adding some more comprehensive options for you to choose from as well. Stay tuned for those updates as they are completed over the coming weeks.
    2. Product pricing for 2025 has been updated. There are very little changes.
    3. The website should be ready to ship across Canada for the end of this month. I know I said this last year, but by the time the back end was ready we were too busy with day to day operations to implement it. This will make things easier for everybody and remove a lot of manual operations on our end. We will update you when that is in place! Once that has been completed, we will be adding shipping charges in to the various items in the store of course. You will be able to pick up your orders if you choose to, in order to save the shipping. For anybody that orders prior to the website being replaced we will honour the free shipping that we have done since inception for this year, as it was purchased prior to the changes. We will update you with the way any of this may affect you when it is applicable.
    4. There are a few new products that we will be more than likely adding to the retail end of things. Stay tuned for those updates as well. They are in the works.
    5. We may offer bagged soil later in the year as well, but for now we are sticking with loose soil by the yard. We are working on the logistics of that at the moment.
    6. We are now offering Tree and Hedge trimming up to 20′ on our full service end of things, and only in some areas in the lower mainland. If this is of interest to you just mention it to us!
    7. We are expanding our sub contracting services through vetted partners to also offer gutter, and window cleaning, as well as expanding our coverage more fully in areas such as Mission and Hope. These things only relate to full service work. There will be an email that goes out outlining the territories for this once it is ironed out.
  • DIY Annual Programs: Click here to see those and/or to order.
    • The Microbe Power Soil Booster will be added in to an annual plan and subscriptions in the next few days, but for now you can add it A La Carte, should you wish. We have a limited stock available and will have more shortly. Last year was the first year for this and it made a significant boost to overall lawn health across the board for those that added it into their plans.
    • When the website is updated, there will be changes to the annual plans dependent on where in Canada that you live. There will be an email in that regard to inform you of those changes. The website will be designed in such a way that you order the correct products for your area.
  • Employee Hiring: We are currently hiring for full and part time employees starting for March 1. There will be adds up on jobsites shortly, but I thought I would mention it here in case you knew somebody that was looking for a career in the lawn care industry. If so they can email [email protected] with a resume.
    • There are both office positions (onsite) (administration), as well as full and part time landscaper positions available.
  • For Full Service Customers/requests: Email [email protected] with your request. Just let us know if you want to stick with the plan that you had before, would like us to suggest one, or know what additions that you would like to make for this year if applicable.
    • We are now offering Tree and Hedge trimming up to 20′ as well as gardening on our full service end of things, and only in some areas in the lower mainland. If this is of interest to you just mention it in an email!
    • We will be reaching out to everybody that we have not heard from yet this year over the next few weeks to get you set up for this year.
    • For those that have already contacted us, you may already have things set up, or you will soon. We just had to take care of a bunch of things on the back end before we could get to everybody.

We at MyLawn.Care have taken all of this into account and blended lawn Care Packs specifically to perform in the BC lower mainland, so that you do not need to worry about this and can just spread the Care Pack and enjoy the results!
